Kurt Olson

The head coach of the varsity football team here at U-High, he is the leader of the program. He enjoyed great success as a player at U-High during the mid 90's which he is trying to duplicate with the 2005 version of the Pioneers. He may be young by most people's standards but his intensity and enthusiasm give him the appearance of a coach twice his age. He also gave us such quotes as "Quit going through the motions" and "They have no respect for you."In this his third year at the helm he continues his quest to turn U-High into a championship calibur program.

Mike "The Beast" Troll

Mike Troll is the energy of every U-High practice. From the bearcrawls at the beginning to yet even more bearcrawls at the end. He brings the intensity and determination from the wrestling mat to the football field. He came to us from Olympia to teach Biology and coach the wrestling team for the 2003-2004 school year but did not join the football staff until just last season. Since joining the Pioneer wagon he has helped to improve players on both sides of the ball including linebackers and offensive linemen. His outstanding work with the freshmen team is sure to prepare our younger players for the varsity level.

Todd Miller

Coach Miller runs the show when it comes to the line here at U-High. As a U-High grad and long time coach it is his job to get both of the front lines ready for Friday right whether it is driving the sled or punching the bags. Coach Miller also works with the special teams which have come up big time after time for the Pioneers. He has been at U-High for a long time, he has been to the top of the mountain and the bottom of the valley but we know that he will do whatever it takes to ensure a successful season in 2005.

Coach Braucht knows how to win as he was a member of a state champion football team back in his playing days. He is trying to establish a winning mentality here at U-High that he had when he was a player

Jim "Ole Miss" Allen

Coach Allen can always add some humor to practice cracking jokes and telling stories but he also knows when it's time to work. He is a mastermind of the offensive and defensive lineman position. As one of the freshmen coaches he is sure to include a little English lesson in the game plan as he is also a freshman English teacher here at University High School.

Rob Harris

You don't want to mess around when it comes to Coach Harris. He will always keep you on task whether you are in running back drills with him or watching from the sideline. Coach Harris has years of experience coaching the Normal Mites youth football team and now here at U-High. As a wrestling coach he expects the same kind of intensity and focus from football players. He expects to win every game which should help the 2005 Pioneers as they pursue a birth in the playoffs.
