The dynamics of the U-High Pioneers change with each year. This year brings in senior talent and leadership. Here is more about our Pioneers:
|
|
This Class of '06 has had a rough history. We began in 2002with a strong core of enthusiastic football players. They were crazy but disciplined. During the "Coach Mac years" a large portion of the Pioneers were purged from the team. Through these rough times, the current Pioneers perservered through the adversity. During this down year, they went 0-8, they're only taste of victory coming in a joint Freshman-Sophomore game against Mendota. Sophomore year was the "Age of Thorson". Highlighted by an enthusiastic coach, this year saw many star players being stripped away to help propell the varsity to a playoff season. Junior year, once again the class of '06 tasted bitter defeat in a 4-5 season, barely missing the playoffs. Now during their final year at U-High, the seniors seek to be leaders on andoff the field and set an example for classes to follow. The Pioneers stuck it out during all-a-days and doubles, and drew closer together as one team, united by a common goal.

The senior's (0-8) freshman season.

This stud is in his fourth year as a Pioneer. Looking to rebound after quitting three years in a row, never for less than one hour, he is looking to bust some head without busting his own... again

Having played with the U-High Pioneers for all of his years at U-High, it is a wonder he is still able to function after having suffered 5+ minor concussions and a seizure.
